#### Pick the preset that controls which editor sections you see and which defaults load into your proposal.
A preset is a saved bundle of settings. Choosing one is the fastest way to change how much of the editor you have to deal with.

##### 1. Open Choose Preset
In the top right of the editor, click **Choose Preset**, then select the preset you want.

##### 2. Understand What Changes
A preset controls which editor sections appear and which defaults load.
* **Simple** shows a handful of inputs.
* **Advanced** adds equipment, adders, and import adders.
* **Roofing** swaps in non-solar components, which live in the Balance of System section.

Your preset choice is remembered per design. Next time you build from that design, the same preset loads by default.
