Google Chrome Browser Optimization Settings for Scanifly
Google Chrome is Scanifly's Recommended Browser
- The Scanifly webapp at www.portal.scanifly.com runs best on Google Chrome.
- If you are not currently using Chrome, we strongly recommend downloading it here to optimize your experience.
- Once you are using Chrome, you can apply the following settings to ensure the best possible performance.

Access Chrome Settings
- Go to Chrome settings by clicking the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top right corner and select "Settings," or use the keyboard shortcut:
- "Alt + F" (Windows/Linux) or "Command + ," (Mac)
Ensure Chrome is Up-to-date
- Check for Chrome Updates
- In Chrome Settings navigate to the "About Chrome" menu option all the way at the bottom of the list on the left
- This should trigger an automatic update check, which will either confirm you are up to date, or ask you to update, which may require re-launch

Enable Graphics Acceleration (Most important)

- Navigate to the System menu (near the bottom of the list on the left).
- Toggle ON "Use graphics acceleration when available."
- You will need to relaunch Chrome for this setting to take effect.
Still having issues? - Clear browser data
- Important Note: When clearing cached data, you will likely be logged out of most websites, including Scanifly. Please have your usernames and passwords available to log back in.
- Within Chrome Settings, navigate to the "Privacy and Security" menu option, third from the top of the list on the left
- Select "Delete Browsing Data", and choose the time frame for data clearing
- A pop-up will appear. You can start with a recent time range (e.g., "Last 24 hours"), but the most effective way to get a complete refresh is to choose All time.
- Once you have confirmed your time range, click "Delete Data"
