This setting will allow you to set a default minimum ASA/TSRF value so that you can automatically avoid designing in areas below those values.
NOTE: Enabling this setting will apply to all jobs you design on moving forward. It will not retroactively impact designs that already exist at the time of enabling.
Setting Company Preferences in Scanifly3D Settings
If you are a company Admin, you can set your global settings for minimum ASA and TSRF in the Scanifly3D Settings. This will ensure that all of your projects have this setting on by default.
Once in the 3D settings, navigate to Design Presets. Input the minimum values you would like to set for all modules placed moving forward. You can also toggle a setting that lets your design team override the minimum value cutoff at their discretion.
Example: If you set it to 80% / 80% , only roof surfaces that have ASA / TSRF greater than 80% will be filled with modules.
Working in S3D Design with this setting:
Use of the minimum ASA/TSRF feature requires the irradiance map to load in to determine which areas are above or below the set threshold. Once it is loaded, placement of modules will be impacted by the minimum threshold setting.
If modules on your existing designs don't meet the minimum threshold, a warning will prompt you to remove them the next time you enter the array menu.
If you select Fill Modules, and nothing appears, then there is no area in the segment that meets the minimum threshold.
If Override Is Enabled:
If the option to allow team to override presets in enabled, open up the Advanced Fill Settings within the Array menu of the segment you are designing on, and change the ASA and TSRF minimum values as you see fit.
