The Poly-Line Ruler tool is a direct upgrade to our traditional ruler tool - what are some of the new features it comes with?
- Multiple lines can be created in one ruler, allowing you to go around corners or up a wall
- Ruler customization for visibility and differentiation
- Multiple rulers can be saved, named, and viewed at once
- Azimuth information can be extracted from the ruler, telling you which direction it is heading in, as well as the perpendicular azimuths
How to use
Once you have selected the Ruler option in the left-hand Layers menu, select the big blue Add Ruler button and left click on the model to draw out your ruler. Once you have placed as many lines as you need for your ruler, hit enter to complete it.
Below is an example of a ruler that was placed where the conduit run will be located, showcasing the full length of the run. Each line has its own length, with the total length shown where the final point of the ruler was placed.
