#### Choose whether your systems price from a single base price per watt or from module pricing tiers in the equipment library.

Pricing Configuration sets how the Proposal Tool prices your panels. It comes down to one toggle: **module base pricing**. Leave it off for a single price per watt across the board, or turn it on to price modules in tiers.

Make this decision before you build your equipment library, because the toggle determines where your module pricing lives.

##### Module Base Pricing Off: Base Price per Watt Applies

With the module base pricing toggle off, the **base price per watt** you enter applies to every system.

The tool takes the system DC size, calculated from your module wattage, and multiplies it by your rate.

**Worked example.** At 3 dollars per watt, a 10 kW system prices at 30,000 dollars before any adders.

This is the simpler of the two setups, and it is the right starting point if your company quotes a single dollars-per-watt number.

##### Module Base Pricing On: Pricing Moves to Equipment

Turn the module base pricing toggle on and your module pricing no longer comes from the base price per watt. You then go into the equipment section and set your **module tier price settings** there.

Use this when your pricing genuinely varies by module or by system size, rather than sitting at one flat rate.

Turn the toggle on and configure your module tiers in equipment in the same sitting, so your pricing is never half configured.

##### Either Way, You Can Layer Costs on Top

Whichever base you choose, it is a base. Some companies layer equipment cost or adders on top of it, so the base price per watt or module tier price covers the panels and the rest of the system cost comes from your equipment library and your adders.

There is no single correct pattern here. Decide what your base price is meant to include, then build your equipment and adders to match, so you are not accidentally charging twice for the same thing.

##### Save Your Changes

Pricing configuration is a preset setting. Your change is not saved until you click **Update Preset**, or choose to discard it or save it as a new preset. Leaving global settings without doing one of those three loses the change.

After you change pricing configuration, build one test proposal from a real design and check the Base System Cost line on the Executive Summary. It is much faster to catch a pricing setup mistake there than to hear about it from a customer.
