Remote ID

Remote ID is the ability for a drone to broadcast its location data while it is in use.

The FAA is requiring regulated drones to be "Remote ID compliant", meaning that in order to register your drone with the FAA you will need to have a drone with Remote ID broadcasting capabilities, or to buy an FAA compliant module that you can attach to your drone which will broadcast your drone's information.
