API – Racking Data Exports

Unirac

Overview: The Unirac integration allows users to automatically transfer Scanifly design data — including drone imagery, wireframes, CAD files, and shade reports — into Unirac's Plan Set Portal. The automated process replaces manual uploads and eliminates the need for re-entering data between platforms.

Benefits include:

  • No more downloading and re-uploading files
  • Save 1–3 hours per design
  • Cut installation prep time by 2–4 hours
  • Improve first-time pass rate by +30% (aka creating the plan set correctly the first time)
  • Zero manual data entry needed

How it works:

  1. Create your Scanifly drone-based design
  2. Select Short or Long-form Plan Set from the Unirac API Integrations dropdown
  3. This will launch the Unirac Plan Set & Permitting Portal
  4. All design and project data will be automatically transferred: drone imagery, wireframes, CAD files, and shade reports
  5. Finalize your racking layout details and order your Plan Set without manually uploading any data
  6. Unirac will generate a permit-ready plan set and bill of materials

K2 Systems

Overview: The K2 integration enables users to open K2 Quote directly from their Scanifly project and automatically transfer design data, panel layouts, and shade reports with a single click. This allows users to select racking equipment and generate a bill of materials (BOM) without leaving their Scanifly design environment — eliminating duplicate work and inventory mishaps on install day.

Benefits include:

  • Creates a unified PV design, racking design, and bill of materials workflow
  • Eliminates the need to recreate designs in K2 Quote
  • Cuts 1–3 hours from installation planning
  • Ensures accurate inventory for installation day
  • Prevents costly revisions and equipment shortages

How it works:

  1. Create your Scanifly drone-based design
  2. Launch K2 Quote within your Scanifly project
  3. Your design data and panel layout automatically transfer to K2 Quote
  4. Finalize your racking layout details without redrawing your design
  5. Generate a complete bill of materials for your installation teams

Pegasus

Overview: The Pegasus integration allows users to automatically transfer their Scanifly design data and panel placement directly into the Pegasus Design Tool, eliminating the need for platform switching and duplicate work.

Benefits include:

  • Creates a unified PV design, racking design, and bill of materials workflow
  • Eliminates the need to recreate designs in multiple systems
  • Saves 1–3 hours per project
  • Ensures accurate inventory for install day
  • Prevents costly revisions and equipment shortages

How it works:

  1. Create your Scanifly drone-based design
  2. Click to launch Pegasus directly from your Scanifly project (opens a new browser window)
  3. Your design data and panel layout automatically transfer to Pegasus
  4. Finalize your racking layout in Pegasus without redrawing your design
  5. Generate a complete bill of materials for your installation teams

EcoFasten

Overview: The EcoFasten integration allows users to automatically transfer their Scanifly design data and panel placement directly into the EcoFasten Design Assistant, eliminating the need for platform switching and duplicate work.

Benefits include:

  • Creates a unified PV design, racking design, and bill of materials workflow
  • Eliminates the need to recreate designs in multiple systems
  • Saves 1–3 hours per project
  • Ensures accurate inventory for install day
  • Prevents costly revisions and equipment shortages

How it works:

  1. Create your Scanifly drone-based design
  2. Open EcoFasten Design Assistant within your Scanifly project; select racking solution
  3. Your design data and panel layout automatically transfer to their Design Assistant
  4. Finalize your racking system details without redrawing your design
  5. Generate a complete bill of materials and engineering report for your installation teams

IronRidge

Overview: The Scanifly and IronRidge integration is designed to automate Bill of Materials (BOM) generation by allowing users to transfer their Scanifly solar layouts directly into the IronRidge Design Assistant.

Benefits include:

  1. Automates BOM generation, eliminating the need to manually re-enter design data in IronRidge.
  2. A new IronRidge project is created with all Scanifly design details already in place, saving significant setup time.
  3. Certain fields are locked to indicate data transferred from Scanifly, which helps protect the accuracy of the imported information and prevents accidental overrides.
  4. Team collaboration is supported, as IronRidge account admins can invite other team members to their company account to share access to the integrated workflow.

How it Works

  1. Sign up for an IronRidge account and enable the Scanifly integration from the IronRidge account management page. It's important to use the same email address as your Scanifly account.
  2. Once your design is complete in Scanifly, save it and navigate to the IronRidge export option in the Integrations Panel under the hardware section. From there, select IronRidge and click the layout export to send the data over.
  3. This opens a separate page in your IronRidge account where a new project is automatically created with all the details from your Scanifly design already populated.
  4. You'll still need to manually select the module from a dropdown to ensure the layout is updated with the correct array information.
  5. Complete the remaining forms in IronRidge to finish generating the BOM.
