Shade Rendering: Visualize On-site shadows at Any Time of Day

Use the Shadow Rendering tool to explore how the sun's position affects shading on your rooftop at any date and time. 

The shadow rendering is a great way to visualize the impact of shade, if you are looking to quantify the shade and calculate production/TSRF please see our article on viewsheds.

  1.  Open the Shadow Rendering tool and select a date and time.

  2. Adjust the time of day and date to see how shading changes
