Updated Layers Menu (November 2025)

The Layers menu has been redesigned to provide a more intuitive, flexible, and space-efficient workflow.

A New, Flexible Sidebar

The Layers menu has been fully rebuilt:

  • Menus can be moved, rearranged, or collapsed to maximize design space.

  • The new layout is designed to be more intuitive for both new and experienced users.

Repositioning Menus

To move a menu panel:

  • Click and hold the six-dot drag handle at the top of the panel

  • A blue highlight will indicate the snapping placement areas

  • Drop the panel where you want it

Segment Listing & Sorting

In order to more easily organize complex designs, segments can be sorted by:

  • Name

  • Module count

  • TSRF %

 

New Properties Panel

Previously, selecting a segment opened a long vertical dropdown list of the segment properties. Now, selecting a segment opens a Properties panel, which:

  • Streamlines navigation between segments

  • Reduces user error with more visual cues to which segment they are editing in the Layers menu itself
  • Uses a more compact horizontal layout while maintaining familiar tools and formatting

Layers Reorganization

The following tools are still a part of the Layers menu, but have been relocated

  • Trees, rulers, occluders, and animations now appear below your roof segments
