What is the difference between NADIR Images and Oblique Images
It's all about perspective
NADIR Images
A NADIR image means that the camera is facing directly beneath the camera/drone at the time of the capture.
Oblique Images
A Oblique Image is an image that is taken at an angle other than a NADIR angle.
Avoid these situations
- Taking NADIR images - You will not get any depth perspective about roof obstructions or structure facades with these images.
- Horizon Images - While capturing the horizon in images can create a very pretty picture, the horizon creates issues when trying to stitch images together, because there are little to no reference points. Delete these images prior to uploading into Scanifly if you accidentally captured any.
